It doesn’t take much to get in great condition. A $10 rope and a little hard work will do just fine. It continues to work for the best fighters in the world. As shown by Floyd Mayweather, the jump rope is one of his main conditioning tools in fight preparation. Although hard to see with his amazing rhythm, he is actually doing basic jumps (double unders, transitions, crossovers, doubles w/a crossover, etc…). These moves with much practice can be performed. Mayweather’s determination and consistency on the rope has allowed him to execute these moves with grace and efficiency.

Back to the Basics member, Craig, shows off his strength, conditioning, and ground skills in this tough fight. Later this year he won the 145lb belt. His consistent strength/conditioning programs that involve basic multi joint movements (no glitz no glamour) has allowed him to come into fights more prepared than his opponents.
